Is fibre to the desk relevant to me?
Fibre may provide you with advantages over copper media in your horizontal cabling – it is not susceptible to EMI and it provides for longer channels. Despite the costs for fibre optic cabling approaching those for copper, the costs for network equipment and support for voice and power applications are still significantly greater for fibre.
